NOTE: Due to high interest in volunteering, students are not able to volunteer more than

1 day per week, so please only select one day of the week to participate.

Volunteers Make Bright Nights Brighter for the 18th Year in Stanley Park!

You can make a difference by volunteering to help at Bright Nights in Stanley Park 2015. This event helps raise funds for the important work carried out by the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Volunteers make the event run smoothly, and help brighten the lives of children and others who benefit from the Burn Fund. Volunteer Rewards

We recognize people – just like you, who work hard and are reliable! All volunteers are eligible for a small gift and a Letter of Reference that can be added to their resume.

Our Volunteers Can Be Seen Everywhere

Whether you enjoy entertaining children, welcoming guests or helping behind the scenes, there are many jobs to choose from including:

  • Plaza Host
  • Costumed Host
  • Ticket Checker
  • Front Gate Greeter
  • Face Painter
  • Santa's Elf

We will try and assign you to the role that most interests you, but you may not be granted your first choice, so please be flexible and consider several different jobs. You will be assigned your role on event day according to where you are most needed.

Mandatory Volunteer Orientation

Orientation: Tues Nov 24 OR Wed Nov 25 @ 4pm - 5pm

All volunteers are required to attend this orientation. The Coordinator will contact volunteers the week before the orientation to confirm the time of the mandatory orientation session. Volunteers will be expected to schedule their volunteer shifts at this meeting, minimum 3 shifts per volunteer.

Orientation session will be held as a sit down information session, and volunteers are expected to arrive promptly at 4pm. Location TBD.

Please dress warmly, this is an outdoor event! We hope to see you there!
